IS IT ART?

It is said that one man's junk is another man's treasure.  But would you really want these "artworks" posing in your front yard?

The central figure appears to be some type of man clutching a rather large snake.

Next to him, staring at the confrontation, is a vicious-looking dog.

The white figure to the left seems to be an adult holding a younger person back protectively from . . . what?

It's not my kind of art but I'm sure it's a topic of conversation in the neighborhood.  Who knows?

  1. pretty cool, certainly art. Question is "does it fit" with the neighborhood or not? Any idea what the construction material is?

  2. More artsy than a junk car up on blocks. Just saying.

  3. What the heck is it made out of?
    Art? Yes. Strange? Yes.

  4. Warren - I have no idea. The white stuff may be spray styrofoam but I can't tell.

    Steve - Yeahhhh!

Judy - I have no idea.

  5. Interesting - I wouldn't want it in my yard (nightmare city!), but I kind of like the idea of stuff like this instead of junk :)

  6. Maybe he's just getting even with the neighbors for making him move whatever other junk was there before?

But is it art? Sure, why not.

  7. Yes, it's art, but I still wouldn't want it next door to me. I wouldn't want Michelangelo's Sistine Ceiling next door to me either. The last thing I want when I look out the window is something that forces me to think.
