APPLE PIE

Actually it's even better than that.  It's an apple pie with dried Craisins (an amalgamation of raisins and cranberries).

(Later: SWMBO informed me there are no raisins connected with Craisins.  They're just dehydrated cranberries.)

SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) made it yesterday afternoon. The apples within are a combination of Fuji and Granny Smith.

Now pair a slice of warm pie with some cold ice cream and you've got Nirvana.

Yummers!

  2. Whew! I'm finally caught up (with your blog anyway) after being away this weekend. That pie looks sinfully delicious - yum! And if it has granny smith's in it then it's probably just the right amount of tart - I don't like my apple pie to be too sweet.

    P.S. I love the turtle-puppy picture below - so cute :)

  3. Where is the whipped cream??
    :-)
I miss these apple pies... and too lazy right now to bake one. But we do have Fuji at the market.

  4. I love homemade apple pies better than store bought because store bought always have too much sugar in them. This looks wonderful.
