ARF, YAP, BARK, WOOF

If you wandered by the Prescott Valley Civic Center yesterday, you might have thought the town was going to the dogs.

Dogs! Everywhere you looked! Dogs of all types and sizes and breeds and colors.

It was WOOFSTOCK!

Yes, I know it's a terrible pun but that's what the organizers called it.

A day just for dogs and their owners.

It was a perfect day with a blue sky dotted with puffy white clouds. Though as the temperature climbed up to the low 90's, some of the canines looked for relief.

A gigantic Great Pyrenees just found some shade and lay down for a nap.

There was a demonstration put on by the Prescott Valley Police Department's Canine Unit.

There were rescue dogs and dogs for adoption.

Short dogs . . .

. . . tall dogs . . .

. . . glamour dogs . . .

. . . cool dogs . . .

and even one "hot dog"!

An imposter!

This watchdog seemed to be saying,

"Hey! Who let that guy in here?"

  3. I didn't expect that you would go to that. Not something a Cat-man-do. (sorry, couldn't help myself)
But since I'm in your video, I guess you were there.

    2. I don't see you and you don't see me even though we seem to be in the same places. Strange.
I have to see if you are in any of my shots now that I know where you were standing.

    3. I was wearing pale red shorts, a purple t-shirt and a straw hat, if that helps.

    4. I did get you in several pictures now that I looked closer.
I'm the one on the very left in the bright blue shirt.

  4. Dog gone nice post. Even the Catalyst knows man's best friend. Was the impostor a regular pig or a Vietnamese pot bellied variety, or some other specie.

    1. Not being a professor of the porcine persuasion, I can't be sure but I suspect it was a Vietnamese pot bellied pig.

  5. I found myself wondering, as I read your post, why there aren't any outdoor cat shows?

Oh, yeah. Cats. They don't play well with others unless they own the territory.

I like the Woofstock pun - good chuckle.
