The Painter (SWMBO) and I (who she's titled the Sous Painter because I hold stuff and hand her stuff) were back at it this morning.
And the stump has now got the start of a face.
The Painter says she needs to do some work on that crack in the wood.
I suggested it might be taken as a scar but she vetoed that idea.
And she has to finish the eyes.
And name him!
I was thinking of calling him either "Stumpy" or "Sonny".
Maybe that latter name should turn out to be "Sunny".
Let's see what you folks think.
Feel free to pick your own name for the creation.
Stumpy Scar Face or Scar Faced Stump

ReplyDeleteSylvan! Posh.
ReplyDeleteBootsandBraids: After reading your comment I suggested "Capone" to the Artist. She vetoed it.
ReplyDeleteLL: Are you sure you're not being jokey?
Should Fish More: In a previous life I may have played that on the radio!
Boud: Very posh!
Sonny or Sunny Stump. She is so creative!
ReplyDeletethe crack in the wood has been well used for a smile.
ReplyDeleteMargaret: She and her children are all creative!
ReplyDeleteRed: Well, that's what I thought but she has another idea.
ReplyDeleteWoody!
ReplyDeleteI might have used that crack in the wood as a smile or perhaps a frown line across the forehead of the "sun"
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to find out the final verdict.
ReplyDeleteSmiley, smile through what life brings your way.
ReplyDeleteI vote for "Sunny"

I don't have a name for this wonderful sunshine art, but I did want to say it reminded me of Leonard Cohen's song Anthem with the lyric "There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in." (NewRobin13)
ReplyDeleteSonrisa...Spanish for smile 😊
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. Scarface!
ReplyDeleteCracker Jack? Ol Sol? SunUp? Woody? Sunbeam? I could go on...
ReplyDelete"Sunny side up" of course. :-)
