With apologies to Rodgers & Hammerstein, I couldn't think of a better name for this post.
The plants are putting on a show with beautiful blossoms everywhere, whether in the wild or planted around my library as these are.
The background is kind of crappy here but I couldn't resist a snap of these floral beauties outside a medical laboratory this morning.
I have to give credit to a friend, the recently retired newspaper reporter in neighboring Prescott, Cindy Barks.
She is an inveterate hiker and traveler and shows her talent on her blog NearandFarAZ.
I saw her photos of wildflowers, cactus flowers and sunsets on Facebook this morning, inspiring me.
I'm too old to hike like her anymore so my pictures are mostly shot from my car window.
Very exotic!
ReplyDeleteSort of like a driveby shooting . . .

DeleteI love your title. The song is playing in my head now, and it makes me happy. 😊
ReplyDeleteNot a bad earworm for the time of year. Lovely flowers, thank you.
ReplyDeleteWho is June and why doesn't she wear looser clothing in order to prevent her concealed flesh from bustin' out all over.?
ReplyDeletePretty. It's a beautiful time of season.
ReplyDeleteThat fern picture in your header is just perfect, really. Just a perfect balance of light and dark. I love it.
ReplyDeleteFlowers give me hope for the world. Some days not much, but they do brighten my mood.
ReplyDeleteIs that prickly pear cactus with the fast round leaves and pink flowers? That's a weed here in Australia and governments as well as farmers are keen to eradicate it.
ReplyDeleteYes, though the flowers are more orange.
DeleteAdd Water and the desert will bloom.
ReplyDeleteI love to see blooms everywhere! I really like your fern header, too!
ReplyDeleteYou can get a lot of good pictures from a car window! I use that technique sometimes when I'm in the states. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the transition from spring blooms into summer gardens.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fascinating garden. So different from what I am used to, but so colorful.
ReplyDeleteCar window photos count! I take many of those myself.
