You may recall our effort to save our one remaining tree but after watching it green up this spring with some kind of fluffy growth that didn't resemble the leaves of years gone by we called in an arborist.
He quickly declared it a parasite and said the tree was a goner.
And so, like the other two big trees that were originally here, it came down, leaving us with nothing but stumps in our yard.
It took awhile but after mulling the perfectly flat surface over in her mind, Judy got out her paintbox once again.
Yesterday a new project began.
A pattern is developing and when it's completed, it will be a smiling sun face in a blue sky.
With maybe a wisp or two of clouds.
A little more daubing has been going on with the side yard fence mural but she's still not satisfied and photos of that will have to wait 'til another day.
Nice
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteYou have a very artistic family 🙂
ReplyDeleteI know. Too bad none of it rubbed off on me! 😔
DeleteLove the creativeness. Something out of nothing.
ReplyDeleteShe IS creative!
DeleteIt's kinda the same shape as Crater Lake....make it a deeper blue and put an island (Wizard Is) towards the north end. Nice idea by Judy.
ReplyDeleteI had to pull up an aerial view of the lake. You're right!
DeleteLana and I think that is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThanks, pals. 😍
DeleteI like the aay she thinks. Might as well make it art!
ReplyDeleteGranny Sue, you betcha!
DeleteMaking beauty from a stump is a worthy endeavor indeed!
ReplyDeleteMargaret: She is truly worthy.
DeleteI like how she used the trunk's bark as a frame for her masterpiece.
ReplyDeleteKathy G: She ain't no dummy! 😄

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to paint the stump. Clever woman that Judy.
ReplyDeleteBootsandBraids: Like you, Shirley, she is kick-ass!
DeleteNow that's really inventive!
ReplyDeleteBoud: If anything, she IS inventive!
DeleteJudy is supposed to stare at the top of the stump and see something appears and paint that. But what do I know about anything.
ReplyDeleteShe can make anything a canvas for her art. Can't wait to see the finished masterpiece.
ReplyDeleteWow! I wish I had some talent like that!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I was wondering if Judy would do anything with the stumps, looks good so far. What is she painting on the others?
ReplyDeleteSad to lose another tree, but that is a nice addition
ReplyDeleteWhat do they say about lemons and lemonade? Such a creative talent.
ReplyDeleteSorry you lost your last tree! But at least you gained more art for your yard!
ReplyDeleteWow! Truly beautiful artwork. I love that you two protected the birds. (NewRobin13)
