Yes, Christmas is now only one week away.
About time for the man of the house to begin thinking about what he'd like to give the little woman this year.
Time to get serious about baking.
Time to start on those Christmas, or better yet, New Year's cards.
And at last time to get the lights and the extension cords off the shelf in the garage, test all the bulbs and string them in and around the house.
Course if you're *not* lighting up your house and the neighborhood, you might be Amish.
Happy week before Christmas everyone!

That chestnut joke is -- a chestnut!
ReplyDeleteHappy Festivus, the festival for the Restivus
Too funny, especially the Amish christmas lights. LOL
ReplyDeleteHah, thanks for cheering me up!
ReplyDeleteGreat ones!
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Amish lights and GROAN @ chess nuts!
ReplyDeleteOur Christmases have always been low key, even more so now. So no lights, etc. this year, just a peaceful time. I love the chestnuts joke. 😊👍
ReplyDeleteI am baking a batch cookies every day. Our tree and ornaments are at the old house. We really ought to do something about that. No lights outside though. Our Amish friends like to see the Christmas lights.
ReplyDeleteSTOP....you've gone too far with the chess cartoon!!! You've proven to be a pretty good bakery so if you're up for a good workout, here's a suggestion for a Christmas gift for Brady.

Not sure who Brady is but after checking the recipe I think it's above my pay grade!
DeleteOoops....I meant Brudy. Damn spellchecker!
DeleteThey never seem inclined to do their own though. Don't know why.
