BAKING AGAIN

We've had a bag of apples in the pantry for nearly too long.

Today I got them out and looked for a recipe.

I found one for something called an Apple Slab Cake.

I made it this afternoon, adapting it a bit by putting a Streusel topping on it.

Just had a bite.

It's not bad.

    I suspect that Judy would have been very happy to know that you are baking again. Perhaps she was just behind you passing judgement and maybe taste testing when you left the kitchen.

      More likely saying "I could have peeled those apples in 15 minutes, rather than the hour you took!"

    Baking is theraputic for a lot of people. I always found solace and calm in pie baking. And if you can't eat it all I'm sure your neighbors would be happy to help.

    Your cake looks delicious. The smell of apples and cinnamon baking fill a house with such a comforting aroma. Warm up a piece and top it with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream.
