From there it was just one shot after another of this near perfect blue sky day with clouds and even occasional raindrops.
That's a bit of Willow Lake in the lower left of the photo above.
The only way I can imagine would be better than watching these clouds from the ground would be as a bird on high soaring among them.

Yes, they certainly are. The treat today was getting the shot of that hawk...if that's what it was.

Really like that first pic with granite mountain! And nice catch on the bird, those suckers are hard to keep in your sights while clicking away!
It still looked better with the naked eye than through the camera. And yes, I didn't even know if I had the bird until I got home and put the pix through the computer. It came a lot lower and closer but I was fumbling with the camera so it was a lucky shot.
