Top weight: 220.9 lbs (February 2, 2018)
Current weight: 207.7 lbs (February 21, 2018)
Along with my weight being down, so is my blood pressure, right at the edge of low blood pressure.
Conferred with nurses at my doctor's office yesterday.
They said to drink more water, keep a b.p. log and check with them in a week.
Might need to back off some on my Carvedilol (blood pressure drug).

I wonder why they named it that. (wink-wink, nudge-nudge)
Wow Bruce. It really is true that men lose weight faster than women. Also if you could be feeling sluggish you are on too much blood pressure med. Your doc must be impressed!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! You will soon be off all of your meds! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the weight loss. Medical experts tell us that most seniors-and old boy you and I are in that category-the same one news writers use when they call some one elderly-don't drink nearly enough water.
ReplyDeleteWhen you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated. Hydrate old Taylor!
I hope you weren't suggesting that old Taylor hydrate himself on "Old Taylor"
DeleteCool header!
ReplyDeleteGood work on the weight loss.
That is a lot of weight to lo lose in three weeks.
ReplyDeleteDon't overdo it. It is good to know you are being monitored.
I'm impressed!!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you.

Excellent Bruce!
ReplyDeleteGood job!
ReplyDeleteIf you do reduce the carvedilol, do it in increments, unless your bp drops to very low levels. Watch for dizzyness, etc. If you're taking more than one med for bp, check on dropping them instead, i.e. amlodipine, a diuretic, etc. They tend to have more side effects than the carvedilol. Check to see that you don't get bradycardic (low heart rate) below 60, because you'd want to lower the beta blocker.
ReplyDeleteGlad your weight loss is working well.
Wish I didn't have the flu.
Some months back I went from 25mg carvedilol twice a day to zero. Beta blockers do a lot more than the bp effects......it was like going into a odd drug withdrawal that effected sleep, nervousness, etc. Going cold turkey off beta blockers isn't a good thing unless you have to for reasons of asystole and the like.
DeleteWay to go! Sounds like you're well-disciplined.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! Congrats on the weight loss! Having to back off a drug doesn't sound at all like a bad thing. :)
ReplyDeleteWay to go!!! But I kind of hate you right now :)
ReplyDeleteIf you are on Facebook, go to "City of Page" page to see what they are doing at Horseshoe Bend (I don't approve).
ReplyDeleteExcellent Bruce, keep us posted, it will help you. You would be too ashamed to show us bad numbers...
