THE FRIDAY FUNNIES

After our 54th anniversary last Monday, my wife has left me.

But before you take back all those congratulations on our lasting it through all the years of strife and glory, let me explain that she'll be back tomorrow.

She only left to house- and cat-sit for our daughter, the BAD, who is away from her home and her four (!) cats to celebrate her birthday.

April is a busy month for us with birthdays and such.

So busy in fact that I was only able to muster up the strength to find a couple of humorous pictures for your delectable Friday pleasure and amusement.

But never fear, the words are here to bail me out.

So shall we begin?

Oh my, without SWMBO here to rein me in I fear I went a bit overboard this week.

So if your sides are aching from all that laughter, take this gentle advice sedately: have a fantabulous weekend!

And always remember to keep laughing!

But not too much.

Here, kitty-kitty . . .

( . . . oh they learn so young, don't they . . . )

    1. I thought that one was clever. (And I just watched the Dylan movie last night!)

  5. Oh, the car warranty calls! The Bob Dylan one was clever too. May will be a very busy month for us with birthdays and memorials.

  6. The cardboard box made me laugh out loud. My husband and I have this discussion frequently. He's the one who wants to keep the boxes. It will be good for fires in the firepit. We haven't built a fire for over a year...but it's a good box!

    1. That's hilarious! Usually the opposite in my family, though I keep telling her we should have a firepit.

  7. Dear Punch,
How will you sleep tonight without Judy in your tent?

  8. I really wish Facebook was once again filled with photos of what people are eating, it would be an improvement.

  9. I especially love the one about good cardboard boxes. I have saved a few. 😊

  10. I finally trashed the overflow of boxes including USPS mailers that 'certainly I'll need to mail something in'. With Amazon giving me a new supply on a regular basis I finally freed up the space. It was almost embarrassing how much space! Dare I say hoarding?

    1. You can say whatever you like! Curious - the boxes seemed to hit a nerve with a lot of people.

  11. I knew right away that your good wife had not left you. My gosh, after 54 years, the woman's just about got you properly trained. Who wants to start all over again?

  14. Great selection today. I have a few really good cardboard boxes stored down in the shed, Probably chewd by mice or rats by now. I'll have to start a new collection.

  16. The one about pictures of meals is funny. It's so true -- film was a good barrier against frivolous picture-taking!

    1. Fortunately, my site is focused on frivolous filming. Fortuitously?
