THE FRIDAY FUNNIES

It's time to smile awhile and we begin with one for the eastern part of the United States.

Now if you're smiling, my work is done for today.

Except to wish you all a totally splendid weekend.

Here, kitty-kitty . . .

  13. Mari is just like the black cat at the bottom. I didn't understand the xx falling out of the tree. I dumb. Training or quality control purposes, yeah, right. (cynic here) That first one about pooping/peeing in the house is actually true according to some of my friends with small dogs.

  15. My favorite was the recorded call, training purposes. I worked in a call center. The bosses listened in on your phone calls and graded you. One time, I received a call from a very irate customer. I listened to him yell. Finally I cut in and said, 'listen, I know you are angry, but I promise you that by the end of the phone call, we will have this sorted out. I guarantee that you'll be satisfied." I listened. I fixed the problem. Gave him free shipping for the replacement order and even gave him a discount. At the end of the phone call, I apologized once again and asked him if he was satisfied with the solution. He said yes and we bid each other good night in a friendly way. The grading team flunked me on that phone call. I had interrupted the customer at the beginning of the phone call.

  17. "I wonder if my recorded call has been used for training or quality purposes"...Ha-ha! Loved that one. Often I would like to bounce that warning right back when talking to businesses or services on the phone.

  18. These were all excellent. And sometime the recorded call IS used - I used to work in the legal department of a collection agency & had to listen to recorded calls all the time to see if our employee had violated any collection laws or not.
