This early Spring we've been having (temps in the 70's) has been having an effect on Mother Nature.
The flowering trees are indeed flowering.
And with the warm temperatures comes an increased turnout of happy youngsters in the city parks.
Ah, Springtime.
Don't you just love it?

It's been so dry in the Mile High city that we've pulled out the hoses and starting watering.......IN MARCH!! Crazy but we're concerned about the damage we might see this summer to our trees and shrubs
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'm in the minority, but I am lukewarm about spring, at best. Yes, I love the early crocus, daffodils and tulips, etc...but. I despise what follows: hot weather. I despise it. Were hot weather human, I'd have prescribed euthanasia at an early age.
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in Alaska, decades ago, there were summers where it never stopped 75f. I loved it. Give me a cloudy, cool day any day.

I DO love it! Allergies are kicking up though. It's a big boost to drive down every street and see pink and white in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteBruce-those are gorgeous...It's been warm here and a few trees have begun, but not like that. Wow! tc
ReplyDeleteYowza! We won't see flowering trees in Alberta until May.
ReplyDeleteAh, gorgeous flowering trees and a perfect 70 degrees. I'm starting to see some blooming here too although our temperatures are 10-20 degrees colder. :)
ReplyDeleteOK I love spring time but don't brag abut it yet.
ReplyDeleteI love spring, that wonderful period when the long very wet winter is over, and the summer heatwaves have not begun. The sap is rising, and one begins to feel young (or a little younger) again, and the work in the garden has not yet begun to overwhelm. I suppose it takes all sorts.
ReplyDeleteI do love Spring. It is so good to see the occasional burst of sun in between the cloud and rain.
ReplyDeleteLooks delightful, it has been a nasty winter we are looking forward to spring.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have that much Spring here yet but we know it is coming one of these weeks...
ReplyDeleteYes! I love spring. Such a beautiful season of awakening after the cold dark of winter. (NewRobin13)
ReplyDeleteOh, wow...those trees! I am sooooo looking forward to spring!
ReplyDeleteThose trees are gorgeous, and yes! I sure do love spring!
ReplyDeleteYes, winter is over. Any snow now would be a spring snow. 😊
ReplyDeleteSpring is beautiful as long as I admire it from behind my window. Damn allergies.
