Lunch

I had to run some errands today. So, since I was in P-town anyway I began thinking of all of the fine restaurants and lunch spots there, trying to decide on one.

So, where did I end up?

Actually I've never been able to "get" the mystique of In 'n' Out burgers. To me, they're just another greasy fast food burger.

So why was I there? Convenience, I guess.

  1. I AM SO SAD. MY favorite sushi restaurant, a family owned place...been there like 20 or more years...gone!

I was taking my lunch break, picked up my cell phone (I had them on speed dial) to call in my lunch order and "BEEEEEEP...the number you are trying to reach is no longer in service. No further information is available for 999-9999." What? My phone is acting up, now I will have to order once I get there and wait.

I drive up and the sign said closed and a big "for lease" sign in the window. I was SO sad. I LOVED this place, cherished it. It was like an heirloom. And the people, they are gone. They were just there last week. No one said a word about closing.

I mean, a lot of places are closing down...I don't care about chain stores/restaurants and what not. But this was personal. This one hurt.

  2. P.S. My name is missing over there to the left. *cough, cough*

  3. There's a lot of that going around.

If you mean over to the "right", I'll try to correct that.

  4. Dyslexia sucks. My name is still missing regardless. :)

So glad you changed your pic...I love that one!

  5. Ah yes the mystique. Usually centered around the just recently sexually aware high schoolers who used to edit the In and Out bumper stickers. Burgers are still better than Mickey D's, though for my old heart anything over a rice cracker seems dangerous (but attractive).

  6. Mmmm... animal style french fries.

Delicious heart attack waiting to happen.

  7. M.I. - Fixed, I think.

Tony - I'll take the ones SWMBO fixes at home any day.

Tombo - I found out that animal style means mustard cooked. No thanks!
