But about her taste in art. Here are some photos of her back yard. As you can see, she's fond of "gazing balls". But if you look at the lower part of the first photo, you'll also see some bowling balls. She started buying them at yard sales a few years ago. Some she half-buried in her yard and told people they were growing there. Now, they just lie on the surface.
Meantime, one of her twin dogs just watches with curiosity.

Odd and unique! Guess the dog is counting the times the bowls are rolling down the alleys, wherever they may be !!

Yup, I am with Kitty on this one. I like BRD's taste in art. I could see me doing that....matter of fact, I do do things like that. I always took it as a compliment to be called weird. It meant I was not normal, something I worked hard at. :)

A bit sparse on the greenery and much on the spherical. But if they like it, that's all that matters! :D
Rob - This is Arizona. Grass is optional and, with 10 inches of rain a year, not a good option.
I always feel, if you cant have grass, you may as well have balls.
I like them! I love the dog of course!

I sometimes like the idea of such clean dry gardens, where you can put pretty bright objects, like Herhimnbryn's in W.Aus, where she puts all those dear little odd bits of mosaic. If you did that here they'd all get covered in moss and green slime in five minutes... The bowling balls are great!
