Every year I get nutty when I see my first tree tied on top of a car. It makes me incredibly happy.

It seems to come around this time of the year. I hope those that want snow get it. I hope we have spring like weather. Yeah, sure.

Willow - Yes, for a time it does have it's pleasures. But I think the season goes on too long and wears itself out.

Steve - There was already a snowfall up the mountain this past weekend but nothing where we live. And that's fine with me!

Never having had a proper Christmas tree up here in Prescott, I've wondered if they do dry out too quickly, as was mentioned in today's Courier...

I suspect it's true. We've had tiny articial trees for so many years I can't even remember the smell of a real tree.

I never get into the holiday spirit to well...I do for my sons sake....but dragging it out for a month...I just cannot cope with trees on cars one Black Friday! Oh, and those light shows. Don't spend the money on all those lights. I say take what you would have spent on them and the electricity and donate to one of your favorite charities.

Lots of them out there really hurting this year and are often the only safety nets some folks have.

Good advice, Mal-I.

What if I normally use the energy efficient LED Christmas lights? That means I don't have to donate as much to charity as M.I., right?
