She pointed at one of them which showed a young couple dressed to the nines. The interviewer said to Ms. Alley "Oh, this must be your parents on their wedding day."
Ms. Alley responded "No, the photo just came with the frame!"
I don't know why that television moment has stayed with me but it still amuses me and it was my first thought when I saw this photo put forth as impetus by Willow/Tess for this week's Magpie Tales. You can read more of them by clicking here.

I'm sure more people do that than we would suspect.
I've seen this before and oft wondered why anyone would do this, with what does it bring to them.
A frame waiting for the right photograph to come along perhaps? My grandmother for years had a sepia toned photograph of the Matterhorn in her hallway. As a little girl the precipitous faces terrified me. She "couldn't remember how she came by it."

LOL - my boss had a fictional family in her office FOREVER until she finally found the right picture for the frame. It was funny listening to her say that no, those weren't her children :)
Reminds me of a renting appartment, in between two moves, where we found two of the same painting on the family room's wall!
... I carried a picture of smiling young people in my photo section in my wallet. Once someone asked me if they were my friends and I said "Well, no. I've just carried this around for years because I want to cut my hair like the woman's on the left.

Oh this very interesting I didn't know that. My stepdad has a box of antique images he's displayed some but mostly he has all these pictures of other's people relatives he likes antiques but I find a bit creepy, something with scratchy eyes. But you know some of the photos that come with the frame have quite nice-looking people lol
Giggle. I love it. And in this case, the photo did come with the frame!
I rescue so many old photos, that I will have to write on the backs "this person is not part of our family".
