Scott - Wikipedia has a photo and describes tiramisu as an Italian dessert made of ladyfingers (in Italian: Savoiardi) dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone and flavored with liquor and cocoa.
SWMBO introduced the BRD to it. She had never heard of it either. Now she is a devotee, as SWMBO. It is truly delicious and you should find an Italian restaurant to try it. Right now!
Stephen, I was looking for recipes for it on the Internet this morning and I think there are as many different methods and ingredients as there are Italian cooks. About the only time we have it is at Olive Garden and it's always the same there.
Pardon my ignorance, but I'm not familiar with tiramisu. Is that Arizonan for "dirty plate"? ;)

I've ordered Tiramisu on several occasions and it comes to the table different every time. I think you pay for the name more than anything else.
