HAPPY MAY DAY

I was looking for something special to post for this May Day.  I couldn't find anything in my own life that seemed worthy.  I had a doctor appointment, I went to the library, I took a nap.  Not much there.

So I started looking around You Tube for a suitable video.  Nothing relating to May Day really got to me.  Then I thought of a video my (new) friend Ronaldo Stainforth had posted one day on Facebook.  I searched for awhile and finally found it so here it is.  The amazing Joss Stone.  Thanks again, Ronaldo.

(Oh, and turn up your sound.  Way up.)

  2. I've always thought she had soul and grit beyond her young years.

  3. How unusual is that! A very good singer using real musicians! The lead guitar was in the way a bit, but the rest of them were spot on!
Checked out the 'Velvet Fog' too. Who was the guitar player?

  4. Reminds me a little of the great Janis.

  5. I agree with Steve...I immediately noticed a strong resemblence to Janis Joplin. And you're right, Joss is AMAZING!

  6. Stafford - It's only a guess but I'm thinking Barney Kessel.

Steve and Scott - Ms. Stone has been compared to Janis Joplin many times. She has the same snarl yet the same clear high notes.
