GOLDEN FIELDS

After our recent rains, in the area to our east that my poetic wife refers to as "The Savannah", the growth had turned a dark Irish green.

In more recent days, the color had changed to this rich golden hue.

It reminded us both of the day in 1985 when we took the TGV high speed train from Nice to Paris and went through the wild mustard fields around Dijon.

These golden fields, I fear, are just weeds.

It reminds me of the sun reflecting off the waters of Venice during the Clooney wedding. The gold contrasting with the black caviar was marvelous.

Just weeds, but they look nice.

I used to live on a Savannah! It gave me hayfever in a bad way.

So interesting what just a day of rain can change the whole landscape.
Too bad it does not do the same thing over here right now with all the falling rain. Autumn is definitively here.

The last picture looks like east of the Denver area, looking west to the front range.
Hope you get more rain soon.
