THE GOLDEN SAVANNAH

The "Savannah" just to the east of us is changing color once again . . from green to gold.

As to how it became the Savannah, you might want to read this post.

Here's some of what gives it its golden hue.

Kinda pretty when you get up close, isn't it?

I think this is of the ragweed family. Someone said it smells like cat pee. How close did you get?

Quite close and didn't smell that but the arborvitae in our front yard does have that "aroma".

Yes, but I also think it's pretty from a distance.

The Golden Savannah. Sounds like it could be
A) A Donald Trump Hotel in Georgia
B) A statue to one of the Today Show hosts
C) A Vegan restaurant
D) A new adventure flick from Pixar

Well, you know what they say, "Savannah is golden." Wait. That might be "silence."

When we lived in Phoenix, many years ago, we'd trip to Prescott on occasion. I always liked the place, and I do like the flora on the savannah pictured here!

Luminous comes to mind. It's so different from what I'm used to.
