THE BIG BLACK BANK

While driving in to town yesterday, I noticed what appeared to be a new paint job on one of the local banks.

It was so stunning to me that I had to stop and photograph it.

You can see one of the presumed painters just above the entrance.

It appears the entire building will get the new color.

And just in time for Christmas.

As I commented to a man in the parking lot . . . "well, it's distinctive."

"We like it," he answered.

1st Bank of Gothom? And that intrance looks like a giant hydrolic press, ready to squish the hopes and dreams, not to mention money, out of all who enter. Cheery...

Interesting to say the least.

It looks a little like a movie theater. I suppose black is a better color than red for a bank.

No color of paint will redeem that architecture.

Ominous. Enter with care.

Looks as if it's been doused with some Trumpian, would-be oil extractions.

It looks imposing.

It doesn't look welcoming.

A big red bow is missing, it could be painted too!

Yep. Subliminal. Your account will be "in the black" if you keep your money there.

I like the bank's architecture and think the colors are quite impressive.

I'm not a fan of the architecture but the paint job looks okay.

Very stylish. Maybe less than ideal for Arizona, though.
