CACTI COLOR

The BRD sent some photos of blooming cactus on her patio the other day.




I love the color!

Beautiful! Cactus flowers are always so much bigger and lusher than one would ever expect from a spiny, leafless plant.

Wow. Nice plant. Nothing like that around here at the moment. Obviously, hers was protected from hail damage!

Desert plants give the prettiest flowers, probable because surviving is such a struggle.

When I was a kid, I had a little bitty cactus that my mom bought me at Woolworth's, I think. It was shaped like this one, and I was shocked when a red flower showed up on it one day. I was a kid. I didn't know a cactus could bloom.
