Oh, wait, I know.
The Monday Merry-Go- Round!
Barbecues, swim suits, getting together with friends and family - it's all a good thing, right?
But let's not forget what Memorial Day is all about.
The boys and girls, men and women, who bravely defended our country and lost their lives doing it.
Take a moment from all the frivolity to think about them.
Now, here kitty-kitty . . .
Our president* wished everyone "Happy Memorial Day"
ReplyDeleteSerious question, What is the correct way to acknowledge this day? I used to say "Happy Memorial Day." Should it now be "Blessed Memorial Day, or have a "Memorable memorial Day" or "SO sad that we have a Memorial Day" or What? I really do not know and do not want to offend anyone. Thanks.
DeleteGood question. How about "Gratefully remembering all those who made the ultimate sacrifice so I could enjoy this day." I dunno.
DeleteHave a good day.
ReplyDeleteA working day in these parts, but we had a holiday Monday last week.
For the first time in memory, I work for an employer who doesn't take this day off. We did get Good Friday, but it was weird coming into the office today!
