Immediately after Halloween, we'll have that wonderful combo of Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years. A brief pause for post holiday sales season and then we're into...
A fair number of stores here have the goods out. Why on earth you have to put out the candy right now I don't get, aside from satisfying the cravings of the adults buying them in the first place.
I just noticed all the candy on Monday. So far, I haven't bought any. Of course, I'm sure that I will soon be compiling a care package for my college son. If it doesn't all fit in the box...I can't let it go to waste. More likely it will go to WAIST.
I have recently found your blog when you commented on another I follow ("ook"). I see you live in Prescott, USA and have a background in media. I wonder if you ever followed (or knew) another Prescott blogger, "Granny J" whose blog was titled "Walking Prescott". A magnificent lady who had a similar background to you and blogged right up to her death. Even when she was in a care home she found subjects to write about.
Don't 'wish your life away' Bruce. There are birthdays [mine!] and other enjoyables [today for example] to experience first. How many shopping days to Christmas I wonder. :)

Halloween? We were at the big box today and they had put out-still undecorated-artificial Christmas trees. In September!!!

Ha! Now there's something I'm definitely NOT thinking about yet. Not that we ever do anything for Halloween anyway.
The Micheals store down here was selling stuff back in August!
