WET

A friend in North Carolina reminded me today that Hurricane Florence was bearing down on the East Coast.

I replied to him that this, or any time, is a good time to live in Arizona.

That is so true! I was listening to reports this morning about how slow moving this storm is which means flooding could be a serious problem when it makes landfall.

Right, we only have to worry about fire and monsoon flooding . . .

True!

There's definitely something to be said for a hurricane-free zone!

Nah! I'll take Colorado, thank you very much. But, you guys please stay there. We are getting overcrowded here. Maybe it is because of me saying how much I love it here.....oh no, it's all my fault!!!! (Crying, beating self over head with lead pipe.)

It was 38 when I woke at 7am, will get up to around 70 today. If you can arrange similar temps, and promise it'll not get above 90 and drop at least to 50 at night, I'll call the movers.

A little moderation would be nice. Desperately need rain here. We could just share.

Let's all hope the hurricane ears off over the Atlantic!

You also have to worry about ravenous coyotes desperate for road runner kebobs who happen to have a direct line to the ACME corporation and a flair for self destructive devices.

Actually, William, we DO have coyotes in the flood plain just south of us. We hear them yipping when they're in pursuit of something. But we haven't seen them in our area.

That is an amazing photo, that storm sounds like a beast!

Not sure exactly what that thing is, but it's an impressive specimen for a desert dweller.
