7 DAYS AND NIGHTS

There is only one week left until Halloween.

Are you ready?

  1. I'm working on my costume right now. I'm dressing as a cranky, old man. Fort Benning T shirt, Levi's and flip flops. I haven't decided if I'll shave, probably not.

  2. You need some black socks and a pair of Bermuda shorts, preferably plaid. Get rid of those jeans.

  3. Rather a dark and ominous sky, eh Bruce. We on the other hand have been having a spell of what we called "Indian Summer", apologies to all.

  4. Didn't really like the holiday even as a trick or treating aged kid. Didn't ever eat all the candy. Never enjoyed the parties as an adult and didn't like to "dress up." Didn't mind watching the kids as the chaperone as they made their rounds, but would have enjoyed being at home more. Fortunately I was working most nights when the trick or treaters came to our house. It's a weird holiday.
I was in Mexico on assignment one year during Dia de los Muertos and thought that was a pretty cool thing.

Now I'm a real fan of Christmas Season-after we get past Thanksgiving.

  5. Nice shots of the gloomy sky and the glowing porch light. They appeal to me. I'm not a rainbows-and-unicorn kind of gal.

  6. We don't see many children here at the senior complex, even when we set up as "Trick or Treat here", because we're kind of out-of-the way. The children pretty much stick to the surrounding neighborhoods. I miss seeing them in costume.
