Good idea! I get outraged every time I turn it on!

We've found the perfect way to stay informed but not hyped and stressed--NPR, reading a variety of news sites and PBS. Information without the emotional shill.

Ditto on NPR. No tv in this house for 20 years!

I like Englehart's work.

I get my news from reading the newspapers. Haven't watched television news in years.

I’m voting, but not allowing news in at all. I’ll research as needed. Got to the point I couldn’t be effective at my job.

Funny how much seeps in anyway. Not really funny.

My stress levels were through the roof over politics just a few short weeks ago. Then I began the process buying a house, and I've been too distracted by that to keep up with the news. It's been a welcome relief.

I'm still just as stressed out, mind you, but now for different reasons! :)

Any story you see in the news was MEANT for you to see, by the powers that be. Whether to get you riled up, make you feel complacent, tug at your heartstrings, or instill a sense of fear. A discerning person would consider a variety of sources, keeping in mind that every source has its own agenda.

That said...I don't watch cable news.
