THE FRIDAY FUNNIES

Arizona's Monsoon Season begins on July 4th but this year we've had no rain yet.

So, the heat continues as we launch into the middle of another long weekend.

There's a Ladder-Backed Woodpecker working over the tree right in front of me (sorry, no picture) and it's time for me to work over the Friday Funnies.

With that to think about, it's time to tinker and toy with your transfiguration, harking always for the tremulous tones from tintinnabulation.

In other words, have a great (continuing) weekend.

And always remember to keep laughing!

Here, kitty-kitty . . .

(oh, he seems excited . . .)

  1. Oh great, now I'm craving a deviled egg.

  2. Nothing like a good T day following the Fourth. Enjoyed the funnies also.

  3. That one was great about the free kittens! All good laughs! Briefly saw a special on the news yesterday talking about the monsoons. Had some "good" ones last year. Took out a fence and blew the shed from one yard to another over at our rental house where son and his family live. That was July 31st. So we'll see how the season plays out this year.

  5. That header photo of the lightning is great! Every year monsoon is different. No longer like clockwork in the old days. You could plan your shopping and gardening around it. Rain 2-4 pm and then the dinner cool down and a rainbow.

  6. I had to look up deviled egg - "Deviled eggs or devilled eggs, also known as stuffed eggs, Russian eggs, or dressed eggs, are hard-boiled eggs that have been shelled, cut in half, and filled with a paste made from the egg yolks mixed with other ingredients such as mayonnaise and mustard".... Sounds like a lot of work to me - I'd rather have a poached egg...or fried...or boiled...or scrambled.

  8. I especially like the one about the poor deviled egg and the one about insanity. :D
