Some years ago a group of musicians and friends got together to record an album or two under the name "The Traveling Wilburys". It brings back good memories of those who have passed and those still with us.
Posted "Handle Me with Care" between surgeries a couple years back --https://trainrideoftheenigmas.blogspot.com/search?q=orbison--but lately have thought a lot about "End Of The Line" and love the boxcar video of a rocking chair serving as an altar to the memory of "Lefty Wilbury --the incomparable Roy Orbison. Thanks for including it.
They were so amazing. Gathering all that talent together was unreal.
ReplyDeleteI'm still stunned that Tom Petty has passed away. Great music! I've got you added to my blogroll.
ReplyDeleteWe have one of their albums - love them!
ReplyDeleteAnd from what I've heard, no ego issues.
ReplyDeleteThe last of the 'supergroups'....at least for our generation. It must have been fun for them, seems like it was.
ReplyDeleteSo much talent, such a lot of sheer fun.
ReplyDeleteLove that group. I used Handle with Care in a documentary once about a candidate and his entourage.
ReplyDeleteI love it, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI bought that cassette! I remember riding around in my car listening to it on the stereo.
ReplyDeleteI had the CD and I might still have it.
ReplyDeleteAmazing.
ReplyDeleteI love it.
