Hot out of the oven slathering a pound of butter on works for me!!! How do you cut that tall loaf? Just lay it on its side?
LL, Judy does the slicing but yes, she does lay it on it's side.

That looks so delicious. You make me want to bake bread again. I used to bake break all the time, but since we moved up here on the coast, I can't seem to get it to rise. Have you ever tried the No-Knead bread recipe? It's fantastic.
Robin, yes I have tried the No-Knead recipe once and it made a beautiful loaf of round bread. I've been thinking about it lately.
