Had to look up the movie. It was titled "Daddy and Them". I have never heard of it but it has an 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
We have this song on our iPhone and listen to it when we want a good laugh! The other day we saw a video of Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick do this song in honor of John Prine. It was lovely.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDXV5XRcnpM
Iris Dement is great! And of course John Prine. Who I already miss.
That was great! I went to a Lyle Lovett several years ago and John Prine was the surprise opening act! He stole the whole show!
This was great! I saw the Kyra/Kevin version the other day too. It was really good.
