"Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag,
and smile, smile, smile!"
That's the first line of the chorus of a World War One song written by George Asaf and Stephen Powell in 1915.
Good advice for a hundred and five years later.
So let's start smilin', shall we?
THERE!
That should tickle your tummies for awhile.
Remember that old poem by the famous scribe, Anonymous.
"Don't worry if your job is small,
and your rewards are few.
Remember that the mighty oak
was once a nut like you."
That's all I got for this week except to wish you all a safe, secure and happy weekend.
And always remember to keep laughing!
Here, kitty-kitty . . .
At first I thought, It can't be Friday! It's a good thing I have you to remind me of the best day of the work week. Oh. That would be Saturday!
ReplyDeleteWhat an excellent batch this week! 2 Drunk Ladies! Easter egg hunt! The boat!
Thanks again for not the end of the week, but the start of the weekend!
New look on the comment page! I forgot to say where I live . . . Prescott Valley AZ
ReplyDeleteAre these extra funny this week or has this just been an extra depressing week?
ReplyDeleteThere's actually a book called "Tequila Mockingbird: Cocktails with a Literary Twist." (We have it in the library!)
ReplyDeleteThese made me laugh out loud. So very funny. It's so good to have a laugh to start the day. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chuckles! You are right about missing TV shows in days past. Now you can't get away from reruns!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if these were especially funny today or if I just need something to laugh at. These are great. I especially howled at the balanced diet and WHO let the dogs out and the guy with the boat was priceless.
ReplyDeleteFun stuff! Today. I especially enjoyed Tequila Mockingbird! Definitely sharing tht with my pun lovers!
ReplyDeletePrescott Valley, AZ :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the way that internet jokes are now evolving every few weeks! I wonder who makes up these things.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the boat -- though that's not a lockdown joke.
be well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
You have to laugh.....
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back, with a cracker of a collection there! xx
It took me WAY too long to understand that CROC POT joke!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bunch of winners. I especially liked the first two.
ReplyDeleteWe never forget that the cats are the bosses.
ReplyDeleteIt's definetely helpful to have something to chuckle at instead of watching the news. Enjoyed every one of them.
ReplyDeleteThese were all great - but that sneeze one made me laugh out loud. Ha!
ReplyDelete"Golf: The Adult Version of an Easter Egg Hunt."
ReplyDeleteTill the day I die, I will remember seeing my drunk ass dad-in-law and his buddies searching for a missing ball in a stand of trees. The funny thing though was that they found the ball too close to a gator who didn't give a damn about their side bets.
I wasn't included in the game, I saw this while sitting in my car waiting for that fool. Ain't going to lie, I wanted the gator to win that encounter.
Kitty is very much in charge.
