MONSOON SEASON

 The rains have arrived.

So far we've avoided severe storms here but there have been some which have hit the area with high winds, heavy rain and hail causing some damage.

This was the sky toward the East yesterday evening.

It looked threatening and we did get lightning and thunder in the middle of the night but it appears this morning only a gentle rain.

We can't complain; it helps the plants grow and keeps our water bill down.

  1. I've just seen some headlines about the monsoon rains and flooding in Arizona and came by to see how you are doing. Glad all is well. Take care and stay safe.

    1. Yes the flooding appeared to have been in Flagstaff which is about 80 miles from us.

  2. As long as you stay out of slot canyons.

I'm hoping this means we'll get rain soon, since we often get some right after you.

  3. Wow, I did NOT realize you had to deal with that kind of weather. I hate the hail, but we certainly do need the rain.

  4. Stay safe! We have rain right now and there was a tornado north of the city this afternoon.

  5. We've been getting a lot of storms lately. I don't have to worry about watering my tomatoes like most summers, on the bad side, I lose at least 15 yards on my drives due to the soft fairways!

  6. We’ve been lucky, our rains have been nonviolent.
