The Platinum Jubilee is well underway in England as Queen Elizabeth II celebrates 70 years on the throne.
As she posed on the Royal Balcony at Buckingham Palace the 96 year old monarch appeared to be enjoying a flyover by RAF jets.
England's longest-serving queen was joined by her son, Prince Charles, and her grandson, Prince William, as well as other members of the royal family for the celebration.
Long live the Queen!
Oh. I was looking for the Friday Funnies. Silly me.

ReplyDeleteUh no.
DeleteI'm about half way through the book The Palace Papers. The ultimate family saga.
ReplyDeleteI think your final wish (in your post) has already come true!
ReplyDeletePrince Louis was a hoot!
ReplyDeleteQueen Elizabeth has been Queen for as long as I have been on this earth.
ReplyDeleteThey all seem to be enjoying themselves.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to think that she's been a queen longer than I've been a person.

ReplyDeleteShe’s quite remarkable, and I might be saying that because I adore Corgi’s :D
ReplyDeleteLong live The Queen indeed. She is already the longest holder of the title since History began. I noticed on the news, "they" were saying she looks tired these days and can't stand for such celebrations for long. So why can't "they" provide a chair for her?
