It's National Ice Cream Day!

So take the edge off of that heat and get yourself a cone.


Or a dish.


Or a batch.

Whatever your choice, cool off with some ice cream today.

That last cone? We used to call a Whippy Dip after an ice cream place on Lake Michigan called that but they were a heavenly custard. I can taste it now!

National ice cream day in the middle of our winter? That's just cruel. Although we do have sunshine and blue skies so I guess a couple of scoops wouldn't be too bad.

I prefer it in a bowl. Working my way through a container of blueberry grunt ice cream at the moment.
