Kris, I believe it's a sly reference to the Chinese balloon that was shot down by the U.S. a few months back.

I don't get he ballon/bird one either. Otherwise I laughed at most of them....love the cat at the end. I am sure though that it was only a couple of days ago that it was the Friday Funnies !! Life is speeding up.
