THE FRIDAY FUNNIES

I went to the library yesterday and picked out a book to read.

It's by Jane Austen and it's called "Sense and Sensibility".

But I haven't started reading it yet so today is saved.

Let's take a look at Nonsense and No Sensibility, shall we?

I know what you're thinking.

IT'S A TWO-FER!

That's right.

I have so many Trekkie memes in the Humor Bank that I was forced to start AND end with one this week.

Consider yourselves lucky.

Now let's see how you good people will start and end your weekends this time around.

Make it great, make it memorable, make it . . . . oh, not meh.

But whatever you do, don't forget to keep laughing!

Here kitty-kitty . . .

( . . . now who's mocking who? . . . )

I'm impressed that you're going to plow through a Jane Austin book. I can't even stand the movie versions. Great laughs though! The shampo and end of the rainbow! Thanks for another start to a 3 day weekend.

You have a good weekend, too, Bruce!

Considering I just read a 475 page biography of Larry McMurtry, Jane Austen should be a snap!

Catalyst said...

Thanks, Ellen, I'll give it a go.

Ah, Star Trek! It was, at times, a humorous show. I love the self-check out one (hate them) and the shampoo difference.

I just got back from fighting my way through traffic so this was a delightful post to read. Thanks.

I actually appreciate the self check-outs if I only have a few items.

Happy to ease your day, Pat.

I like the one with the two old ladies but I do not recall them being on the crew of The Starship Enterprise. Perhaps they worked in the kitchen. We never saw that did we?

Hey, today I got everyone of the cartoons.

Catalyst said...

Perhaps you could explain them to YP! :D

Enjoyable to hear.

I don't believe I ever saw a complete ST episode.

I love the Star Trek jokes, even though I never watched the program.

Thank you, I needed some smiles after finding my new seedlings decimated by slugs and snails. Time to give up I think.

Oh dear. I just realized that I didn't get my dose of Friday Funnies until Saturday morning. This is probably going to screw up my whole week.

He who laughs last, probably didn't get the joke. Thanks I needed these.

Catalyst said...

Me too.

Ooohhh, that's too bad. Gardening can be a test of one's patience.

Catalyst said...

Au contraire. You just have to laugh the loudest!

Catalyst said...

Sometimes that's true. Always remember to laugh!

I'm baaacckk! I don't know why I can't read your blog at work (and also why I don't just read it when I get home), but I'm all caught up now. Thanks for the shout out on Monday. Our power is back on thank goodness!

Good to hear!

I love "Speed checked by Radar" and the one about shampoo. I wash my hair with bar soap! (Granted, I don't have much hair.)

Catalyst said...

That *does* mean it probably takes less time. 8^D

Thank you for the chuckles! All great, as usual. But the shampoo one was the best!

Catalyst said...

Always happy to amuse.

What a GREAT batch!! The start off had me laughing and then it just continued. Home from a 2-week trip and so I'm a little late seeing these. Have a great week all!

The jail time! Oh, yes.

Better late than never!

Yup.
