My warnings are getting scarier, even to me!
But my goblin friends, time is drawing truly short now for you to prepare for the ghostly night.
Speaking of goblin, or rather gobblin', you know I've told you about my baking many times here.
And also many times about SWMBO's cooking.
She does most of that.
But yesterday, I took pity on her and decided I, the so-called Master of the House, would make dinner.
And so I did and here's a photo of my kitchen extravaganza.
True, I did have some help from Orville Redenbacher and my microwave oven.
But still.
It's the caring that counts, right?
Now back to that most terrifying of all nights, coming up soon as the pendulum clock ticks away in the darkened hall, but still keeping to a food theme, as is my wont, brace yourself.
I'm Italian and don't eat that! But I would. I love popcorn, especially the not-so-healthy Movie Theater Butter kind.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking 2 of my grandsons trick-or-treating this year. Haven't done that for a LONG time! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy town has a big event with candy and games and such, in an effort to discourage trick-or-treating. We turn out our lights early and retreat to a back room and aren't bothered.
DeleteWe leave our lights on, and sit in the living room watching TV with the volume at an alarming level, and we aren't bothered. Nobody out here has young kids anymore. I don't even buy candy. One year we were surprised with a lone trickster/treater, so I gave him a mini bag of Cheetos out of The Pony's lunch stash. Better than the elderlies who drop a penny in their bag, or hand out toothbrushes!
ReplyDeleteI love popcorn and eat it almost every day. I eat it plain and have figured out a simple way to do it. Just another joy to add to the collection.
ReplyDeleteHa! Another good one!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to say this Bruce but the popcorn picture makes me feel kind of queasy. Also I have heard of Americans having pizza for dinner or KFC or McDonalds e-coli burgers but Jesus - popcorn? Really?
ReplyDeletePopcorn for dinner? Better to have served a Fettuccine Afraid-o.
