I was so sad to hear this today, but you have to admit he lived an incredibly full life. I met him several times in Georgia when I worked for WAGA, he was always kind and generous with his time. The first time was when Anwar Sadat met with him in Plains shortly after Carter lost his re-election bed. It was wild seeing that big helicopter land on the town's softball field.

Nothing sad about living a good life for 100 years! I always thought he was too good for our political institution.

I can think of few people I admired more than Jimmy Carter. 100 years is a very good run.

I'm glad he had a chance to vote that one last time. He was an amazing man.

I heard this on our news last night. I gather he was a good President?

He radiated goodness and believed in service. Contrast that with what is coming up next month.

Few have done so much for the world.

I was a college student during Carter's presidency, discovering my newfound freedom and spreading my wings and of course studying. I followed the Iranian hostage crisis and knew about the return of the Panama Canal to Panama, but politics wasn't my thing. I knew more about him after his presidency, - all of his humanitarian work, living a life of faith, and his love for his wife and family.

A good man, yes. He will be missed. We sure need more like him, but I think that mold is broken.

Maybe. 😢
