On a whim yesterday, I made a cookie for my dear Judy.
Yes, I said "a cookie".
She's always liked chocolate chip cookies so this roughly 12 inch monster cookie not only had them inside of it but I dotted the top with them.
To prove the size of it, I offer this photo.
The baker's hand to show the comparison.
And that's what happens when you allow the (mid 80's) amateur baker free rein in the kitchen.
So why didn't you make a batch of cookies, rather than just one, you may be wondering?
Oh, just for laughs, I guess.
Ah, Mrs. Fields! I had forgotten about her cookie empire with a store in every mall. Who knew the world wanted a cookie the size of a their head?
ReplyDeleteI made a giant cookie like this some time ago. You either break it up pretending you're not going to eat it all at one time. Or you shamelessly use both hands and eat around. Like a dessert pizza..
ReplyDeleteI think the photo of the cookie with your hand belongs in Friday Funnies. LOL! (NewRobin13)
ReplyDeleteAll SWMBO needs now is a giant glass of milk to dip the cookie in.
ReplyDeleteInquiring minds want to know if she shared :-)
ReplyDeleteShe did. She sliced it like a pie into little wedges.
DeleteI hope Judy leaves a little piece of the edge, so she can't be accused of "eating the last cookie."
ReplyDeleteThat's a pazookie! I used to make Mrs Field's cookies frequently.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love cookies so too bad I wasn't there.
ReplyDeleteStill some left, Red.
DeleteAs a young mother, I occasionally made gigantic cookies to surprise my kids as an after school snack. They gave me cool mom points for that one.
ReplyDeleteMonster cookie! Did you bake it on a pizza tray?
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought of that. I just used a regular sheet pan.
