Friday Night Pizza.
One of the few meals I can prepare without a recipe.
It starts with a frozen, thin crust, pepperoni pizza from the grocery store and then gets loaded with ingredients before going into the oven.
Last night as always it was extra pepperoni because Judy and I both love it.
Then a sliced leftover smoked sausage link, a chopped yellow pepper, some pared Parmesan cheese because I was out of Mozzarella, and topped with some minced fresh chives from a pot on the patio.
Normally I add a generous dash of Italian Seasoning, some Oregano, and a slash or two of Crushed Red Peppers but last night I forgot.
Here's the pie ready to go into the oven.
That looks great. Maybe I'll adopt this ritual, too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Meat Lover's Pizza at Pizza Hut! Our new favorite is the Mushroom and Truffle frozen pizza at Costco. Totally hooked! Think of the Friday Night Ritual as comfort food.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteFriday Night Pizza is a good segue to the weekend. We love to spruce up store bought pizzas, too.
ReplyDeleteI had never really added stuff to a frozen pizza until you talked about it a few years ago and now I add stuff all the time. I haven't tried the chives before but will the next time.
ReplyDeleteYum! I like that you "personalize" the frozen pizza. At least you're giving it some effort. :)
ReplyDeleteI am not a big fan of pizza but yours looks delicious! I didn't realise that Taylor was an Italian name.
ReplyDeleteThe "before" picture is pretty enough to hang on the wall as art! The "after" picture looks tasty, but I'd be exhausted from picking off the pepperoni. It's the one thing I don't like on a pizza.
ReplyDeleteYou're keepin' it and you're not sharing.
ReplyDeleteYummo.
ReplyDeletePizza used to be my friday night dinner too, I don't remember when I stopped that. I always bought a frozen cheese pizza and added my toppings.
ReplyDeleteLooks so good, enjoy!
ReplyDelete😊👍❤️
ReplyDeleteI love pizza--it's so easy to customize! I'm craving a taco pizza with added lettuce, tomatoes and a drizzle of sour cream and salsa. Yum.
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks downright edible.
