You may recall our effort to save our one remaining tree but after watching it green up this spring with some kind of fluffy growth that didn't resemble the leaves of years gone by we called in an arborist.
He quickly declared it a parasite and said the tree was a goner.
And so, like the other two big trees that were originally here, it came down, leaving us with nothing but stumps in our yard.
It took awhile but after mulling the perfectly flat surface over in her mind, Judy got out her paintbox once again.
Yesterday a new project began.
A pattern is developing and when it's completed, it will be a smiling sun face in a blue sky.
With maybe a wisp or two of clouds.
A little more daubing has been going on with the side yard fence mural but she's still not satisfied and photos of that will have to wait 'til another day.

Nice
You have a very artistic family 🙂
Love the creativeness. Something out of nothing.
It's kinda the same shape as Crater Lake....make it a deeper blue and put an island (Wizard Is) towards the north end. Nice idea by Judy.
Lana and I think that is brilliant!
Thanks.
I know. Too bad none of it rubbed off on me! 😔
She IS creative!
I had to pull up an aerial view of the lake. You're right!
Thanks, pals. 😍
I like the aay she thinks. Might as well make it art!
Granny Sue, you betcha!
Making beauty from a stump is a worthy endeavor indeed!
I like how she used the trunk's bark as a frame for her masterpiece.
Margaret: She is truly worthy.
Kathy G: She ain't no dummy! 😄
What a great idea to paint the stump. Clever woman that Judy.
BootsandBraids: Like you, Shirley, she is kick-ass!
Now that's really inventive!
Boud: If anything, she IS inventive!
Judy is supposed to stare at the top of the stump and see something appears and paint that. But what do I know about anything.
She can make anything a canvas for her art. Can't wait to see the finished masterpiece.
