THE FRIDAY FUNNIES

It has been a difficult week, with the death of a wonderful friend of both my wife and mine.

Diane Kalas was a television pioneer in Arizona and had a legendary career with radio stations in Pittsburgh, Boston and San Francisco.

She had marked her 93rd birthday recently but her time had finally come and she passed peacefully.

She will be missed.

But we shan't dwell on the past, shall we?

My purpose here, as on every Friday, is to promote laughter.

Ergo, let us begin.

So that's all I've got.

You may notice a lot of the "Funnies" are just words.

C'mon, Elves, give me some pictures!

In the meantime, the rest of you have a peaceful, laid-back, calm weekend.

Interrupted, of course, by fireworks and champagne cork popping!

But whatever you do, don't forget to keep laughing!

Now, here, kitty-kitty . . .

( . . . oh, now she wants to take over the world . . . )

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. I read a couple of articles about her, she sounds like an amazing person.

Thank you for the funnies this morning.

Choccy coffee!! Yes, why not. Thanks for the Friday funnies. Sorry for your loss of your friend. No matter how long a person lives, it's never enough time.

Love the cat one! (of course) Living in WA, I can relate to the coffee one; it's like another language and I speak it fairly fluently. I'm very sorry about your dear friend. At Book Club, I heard about another colleague diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. I'm enjoying many things about this stage of life, but not the constant bad news.

So sorry about your very old friend moving on. I have one who is 95 and one who will be 99 in November (if she makes it she always says). Loved the oxymorons. Makes me see how confusing it must be for someone trying to learn English!
