BOXED IN

My longtime friend Tom, he of Light Breezes, sent me some pictures of his family yesterday.

Now I want you to understand; these are not photos of his wife, or of his children, or of his grandchildren.

But they are members of his family.

Dear members of his family.

Like all good cats, when confronted with the spectre of a NEW BOX, they know what to do.

Get into it and sleep, protected from the wiles of a devious world.

As one meme says: If it fits, I sits!

Even if it sometimes doesn't quite fit.

  1. My cats taught me never to break down a new box till they'd tried it for size.

  3. Cats love the protection of enclosures. They are the opposite of claustrophobic!

  4. Boxes...or paper carrier bags...

  5. One of my daughter's pups does that too. :)

  6. Our cat has little interest in boxes, oddly, but our old cat, Charley, loved them. Clyde does not like to be confined. He wants to be able to see all around him so chooses high places to sleep.

  7. More cats in boxes. Am I the only person who had cats that never liked boxes? Certainly they never climbed in to sleep, they would sniff any box that came into the house and then walk away.

  8. Somedays, don't we all want to find a comfy box and settle down for a nap.
