Only supposed to be 92 today where I live.
Hey, it got up to 97 yesterday.
But, y'know, it's a dry heat.
I bet you're really tired of hearing that old line, aren't you?
I remember reading a frightening story by the French writer Camus about a guy who murders another guy as they're walking on the beach.
But what stuck with me about that story was the description of the shimmering heat in Algeria, where the tale was set.
Now everytime I go outside and the glare of the heat makes my eyes hurt I think of Algeria.
So let us all cool down with a refreshing dash of humor.
It is Friday after all.
And speaking of Frenchmen . . .
Man, there seemed to be a violent streak running through this week's "funnies"(?).
Maybe I should stay out of the heat for awhile and stop drifting off to Algeria.
You too.
Have yourselves a safe, sane and cooling weekend.
And always remember to keep laughing!
Here, kitty-kitty . . .
( . . . ahhhhh, very palindromic this week . . . )

Meow! Humm, Disney or Jerry Springer version? Thanks I needed these this morning. Stay cool,
TGIF! The laughs abound just in time. I'd be dragging to Pine Street!
A palindrome is always a nice way to finish off:)
Ha!!! Irrelephant!!!! I always find something to tickle my funny bone here.
It's getting difficult to smile these days but you always make me grin, Bruce! Thanks!
Love the border collies. Thanks for the laughs today.
Lots of great funnies here today. We had such good laughs. Best way to start our Friday mornings. Thank you! (NewRobin13 and Roger)
I am in awe of people who come up with puns!
Disney or Jerry Springer! I'm more the latter but it depends on the person. Supposed to be 87 today here. And NOT a dry heat!
They're all funny. Again. And I like the border collies best.
Bruce Lee? Is this how you do things Bruce - Brucely? Leaping around like a kung fu fighter. I bet it's tiresome for SWMBO.
Unfortunately my martial arts days are now only a memory. But I'm still tiresome to SWMBO.
Several made me burst out with a chuckle! Especially Euca....I mean Pine Street.
