We went to a rather wild Breton folk dance once where the action was made all the more exciting by smokers round the edges lobbing lighted butts into the middle of the dance floor... puts me in mind of that!
They still allow smoking in bars, pubs, dance halls, etc.? Some states have banned it, as did Germany and other European countries.
