You know how people love to make marks in wet cement? That urge apparently doesn't go away as one becomes older. When we built the duplex where we now live, SWMBO left her sign and the date. It's still there.
Watched Animal Planet on TV the other day, and some international volunteers with WWF helped to build a shed and enclosure for cattle to prevent tigers from rampaging the stock in Jeli, Malaysia. After a job well done, they had their names signed in the cement. Me, I don't mind leaving an imprint too :)
Obviously, SWMBO has an inner biker that comes out on the right occasion.
ReplyDeleteGJ - SWMBO said she doesn't understand that but . . whatever.

Keats - Yes, I think it should always be done.
ReplyDeleteWhen I visited Berlin in the 70's wish I could have written 1989 and my initials on the wall, but, hell, I didn't know (grin)
ReplyDeleteSteve - Who knows where that section of the wall would have ended up!
ReplyDeleteSomeone left a bootprint in concrete near our front door. I often wonder if it was deliberate.
