Spring blooms

Blooms from SWMBO's garden.

First, the common petunia.

Then the clematis.

And finally, the tropical-in-appearance honeysuckle.

More detail is observable if you click on each of the photos.

I love the smell of honeysuckle. Reminds me of when I was a kid visiting my Grandparents in Fresno. Nice photos.

I have a huge deep purple clematis outside my kitchen window. (not blooming yet) And I just planted a red one just outside the patio wall. I think they're lovely.

The purple color of ours is much more bold than the photo would indicate.

Oops, sorry, Steve. I meant to comment on the honeysuckle smell. Unfortunately, late blooming allergies keep my nose perpetually dripping and my sense of smell diminished except at close encounters.

That Honeysuckle reminds me of hot summers in New Zealand, & my mother used to take on her bicycle, into the nearest village. It grew wild over the banks & fences of the farms & the smell was so sweet. Honeysuckle is now declared an Outlaw in New Zealand!

We have bamboo in the back yard that grows like a weed. I'm about to outlaw it!
