Posies

This is the "work in progress" rear patio that SWMBO has been developing, with only minor help from yours truly. The supervisor (Smoke) loves it on a coolish evening.

I would like to point out that in the next photo, there are 8 (EIGHT) hibiscus blossoms on our two plants in ONE DAY! I think that may be a record!

==========================================

Best line of the day, by comedian and syndicated columnist Argus Hamilton:

Sarah Palin resigned as governor of Alaska Friday apparently to run for president. As she spoke her long, dark hair fell over a bright red double-breasted jacket. The GOP waited years to have a candidate who sounds like Richard Nixon and looks like Michael Jackson.

  1. I really like your fence colors. They really blend in with everything nicely.

  2. Thanks Warren. SWMBO, who did all the work, will be pleased to hear that.

  3. We have three Hibiscus in the bedroom window and they have been blooming like crazy. The ones in the photos look great.

  4. Ours are never quite sure whether they like our climate or not but recent rains apparently have made them happy. They come inside during the winter months to stay warm.

  5. I was also going to say how much I love the fence colours! Great idea, to show off the pretty flowers.

  6. Y'know, when SWMBO painted that fence, I thought . . . what the hell. But now that the flowers are there I can see her reasoning.

    This is why I am not a designer.

  8. As should be evident by now, I owe it all to SWMBO.

  9. Your fence is really cool looking with the blues and greens.

    My mother-in-outlaw's hibiscus plants are going nuts too. Been a good rain season for them...and they seem to like it.

  10. Hay-soos Maria! If I'd known that fence would be so popular, I'd have told SWMBO to paint the house!

  11. It's certainly blossom time for you! BTW, the hibiscus is Malaysia's national flower. We call it Bunga Raya.

  12. Hey, Keats, I didn't know that. I'll bet they grow like crazy over there.
